Sunburn
G. J. Gillespie | Summer 2026
Why is this piece your Trace Fossil?
“Sunburn is a handmade piece of physical art, primarily made from casein and hardened starch. It is a critical response to Global Warming and the ongoing use of fossil fuels. The frame is made of burnt pine wood. This piece is part of a fragile earth series that Ben is in the process of making.”
