Why is this piece your Trace Fossil?

“This piece is my Trace Fossil because it captures more than a reflected image, it captures a way of seeing. This work resonates with me as it reflects fascination with how light changes a surface from moment to moment, much like experiences shape a person over time. It leaves an imprint of someone drawn to transformation.”

Cesar Ramirez has been a visual artist at Charleston County School of the Arts since sixth grade. His body of work explores how reflections can be portrayed using highlights and movement. Outside of art, he loves to play soccer.
